I. Tourism and Marketing Committee: “Discover New Haven”
Purpose: The purpose of the Tourism and Marketing Committee is to promote and encourage tourism in New Haven through projects, initiatives and/or events that are likely to generate paid overnight stays at more than one establishment and increase revenue to more than one establishment. The primary role of the Tourism and Marketing Committee is to sere as an advisory council for the development and execution of the tourism marketing plan, advertising schedule and budget to promote tourism in New Haven working with the Budget and Finance Committee. Expenditures from the tourism revenue are to be spent within the parameters set.

II. Events/Fundraising Committee
Purpose: The Fundraising and Special Events committee shall be responsible for:developing committee goals to achieve fundraising and special event goals for the coming year, planning and conducting fundraising and special events on behalf of the Chamber that include evaluation of their viability and effectiveness, working with other organizations, volunteers, and committee members to maximize the amount of funds raised for the Chamber’s charitable activities, planning and implementing the various events set forth by the Chamber, reviewing the evaluations of on-going fundraising initiatives and determining if they should continue and, if so, how they may be improved, identifying opportunities for additional fundraising projects that will provide further funds to the Chamber and enhance the Chamber’s profile within the community, tracking fundraising activities and maintaining a record of decisions made and amounts of funds raised and reporting to the Budget and Finance Committee.

IV. Budget and Finance Committee
Purpose: The Budget and Finance Committee primary objective is to ensure high integrity, professional accounting practices are followed, effective communication related to financial matters, provide substantive oversight on the Chamber’s finances, financial policies, and adherence to the approved budget, ensuring the prudent used of Chamber funds, and provide relevant information and guide to the Board of Directors on financial matters.
